Club Carlson
Radisson Hotels have a 30% discount rate offer for bookings by August 13, 2013 at select Radisson hotels in the Americas and Asia Pacific when you stay during specific dates between August 23, 2013 and November 02, 2013. Club Carlson 2,000 or 5,000 bonus points for August and September stays in Europe. Good value bonus points offer for Club Carlson properties in Europe and EMEA region. 2,000 points for one night and 5,000 points for two night stays at participating hotels.
Loyalty Program changes:
Club Carlson devalues points-to-miles exchange rate 44%. Club Carlson made a major change in its points-to-miles transfer rate moving from a variable rate of 100,000 Club Carlson points = 18,000 miles to a fixed rate of 10 Club Carlson points = 1 mile. This change was unannounced and effective July 1, 2013.

RewardsPlus launches for Marriott Rewards and United Mileage Plus members. Major announcement of Marriott Rewards partnership with United Mileage Plus conferring elite status match to Marriott Gold elite for United Mileage Plus elites holding Gold or higher status. Marriott Platinum elites and higher get status match to United Silver elite. This is definitely a great deal for United elites. Loyalty Program Change:
Marriott Rewards quiet points-to-miles devaluation and loud AA partnership (LT July 1, 2013). Marriott Rewards partners with American Airlines again after three years. Marriott Rewards changes its points-to-miles transfer tables from 125,000 points = 50,000 miles to 140,000 points = 50,000 or 35,000 miles with partner airlines. This means there is no exchange rate advantage above the 70,000 points = 25,000miles (or 17,500 miles). Air + Hotel Packages exchange rates have not been changed yet and still offer 1 point = 1 mile rate.
***** Marriott Rewards – Unexpected Bonus May 15 – September 2, 2013 (Marriott MegaBonus with a different name).
With the category changes happening at Marriott on May 16, this unexpected bonus seems to be many Marriott Rewards members getting an offer of one free category 1-5 night after two stays. Limit of two free nights. This is sort of maintaining the same old MegaBonus offer since over 50% of the category 4 hotels, some 370 or so properties, are moving to category 5.
