Marriott Rewards global category 1 hotels priced lower since August 18

This is my third article listing new Marriott Rewards category 1 hotels priced at a lower rate following the August 18, 2018 changes. These hotels are divided regionally for Americas, Africa and Middle East and Asia.

I listed 86 USA category 1 hotels and 50 Europe category 1 and 2 hotels with points rate drops in separate articles.

In addition to 86 category 1 hotels in USA and 25 in Europe with price drops, 97 additional new category 1 hotels out of 388 worldwide dropped reward rate price on August 18. A total of 208 of 388 category 1 hotels, 53%, are new category 1 hotels.

USA = 86 hotels of 155 hotels are new category 1 rewards.

Europe = 25 hotels of 29 category 1 hotels.

Americas = 20 hotels in Canada, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay out of 43 category 1 hotels.

Asia = 30 hotels in China and 25 hotels in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan out of 90 hotels.

Africa/Middle East = 22 hotels in Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Turkey, UAE out of 69 hotels.

Americas = 20 hotels in Canada (5), Colombia (5), Ecuador (1), Mexico (6), Panama (2) and Uruguay (1).
