very helpful. Really appreciated! especially that you do not only do the USA/Canada properties…
I do read most of your posts with great interest, you are an honest down to earth guy.
I have noticed that you travel mostly in USA/Canada/Europe.
How about a trip to Asia sometime?

@Thomas K. – Had a ticket to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2014, but canceled that trip due to a feeling of too much travel at the time.

Been to Singapore several times, visited Thailand and Bali between 2001 and 2007. Went to Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Argentina between 2000 and 2007. Went to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua too. I traveled much more globally when I started into points and miles and wrote about those adventures in the early days of Loyalty Traveler.

Asia has not been my interest over the past decade.
Parts of Africa are places I would like to visit, since I have not been there.

Europe is the place I like to be. My desire for Europe stems from living in Germany when I was 14 and 15 with regrets I had to return to the USA. Always wanted to live somewhere in Europe for an extended time, but never worked out that way for employment. Waiting for retirement. Not too long a wait now.

A person can spend a lifetime traveling. Trips are about the choices of where you want to go. For the past five years I am just fine with hanging out in Europe. I have only been to half the countries in Europe and generally only two or three places in each country. Still so much I want to see in Europe that I find more compelling than traveling anywhere else around the globe.
