Hyatt has been growing its presence in Europe, yet the region is still relatively underrepresented by the Hyatt brand. Hyatt Stay Certificates offered some good discounts on the average published rates at several hotels in Europe, Middle East and Africa Regions (EMEA), but the recent tier reassignment of hotels and the removal of several properties from the Hyatt Stay Certificate program have reduced the hotel rate discounts available with Hyatt Stay Certificates.
This post shows the rate changes for Hyatt Stay Certificates from December 2011 to September 2013. The changes in the past 20 months reveal significant price increases from the beginning of 2012 to the price for these hotels today.
Hyatt Regency Taba Heights, Egypt is one hotel that is a lower price point than last year. But you don’t need Hyatt Stay Certificates to get a discount room rate in Egypt these days.
Recent changes pulled several hotels in France out of the Hyatt Stay Certificate program. These hotels no longer participating are designated NA as in Not Available using Hyatt Stay Certificates in my table.
Several hotels opened in the past 20 months and where these are now available using a Hyatt Stay Certificate the difference is listed as $0 compared to December 2011. I do not have more recent data for Europe to know what their price point was before the recent changes to hotel tier levels in the Hyatt Stay Certificate program. which is why this table uses December 2011 data.
