Miami and FLL to Paris $348-$448 March-May 2017 AA and Star Alliance

American Airlines has nonstop flights from Miami to Paris CDG from $406 to $448 round trip and one stop flights from Fort Lauderdale FLL to Paris from $425 for departures mid-March to mid-May.

Momondo.com searches find online travel agency tickets with Star Alliance carriers as low as $348 round trip.

The reason this online travel agency appeals to me, besides lower price, is the outbound flights are Air Canada and the inbound flights are Swiss-operated with United codeshares.

I happen to be looking for a ticket to Europe from California during this time period and there are many deals from San Jose SJC to southeast Europe. The problem is I want a ticket to earn Aegean Star Alliance Tier Points. Most of the flight options are Lufthansa or Swiss coded economy K tickets. Economy K earns 50% flight miles for elite credit with Air Canada and United, but no miles with Lufthansa and Swiss.

This ExploreTrip ticket for Swiss operated flights with United Airlines codeshare flight numbers is exactly the kind of ticket I am searching for from San Jose SJC. It has the benefit of being a direct international flight between Zurich and Miami on a foreign carrier with the benefit of miles as a UA codeshare.
