As someone who has followed San Francisco fares to Europe closely the past two years, this month has been the best deals month since May 2016 sales.

Here are some of the current airfare deals from San Francisco with major alliance airlines. While WOW to Paris is $400 round trip in Feb and March or $390 round trip to London or Frankfurt and Norwegian fares are $396 round trip to Copenhagen in April and $446 to London LGW in May, this piece covers major alliance airfares.

With ticket prices to London around $500 on major alliance websites and around $400 through online travel agencies, looks to me like many of the low fares to Europe with Star Alliance, SkyTeam and Oneworld Alliance airlines are challenges to WOW and Norwegian Airlines low fare market share for the San Francisco Bay Area.

There are deals to many other cities around Europe. My basic strategy is search Google Flights for low fare dates, then try Momondo.com or SkyScanner.com, especially if Google Flights shows a phone call required to the airline to get the low fare. These low flights usually turn up on at an even lower ticket price through an OTA meta-search on Momondo.com or Skycanner.com.

    Great fares, indeed. Thanks!
Have you booked through some of the OTAs on Momondo? They turn up some sketchy providers with terrible online reviews. I had some problems with one of them (eDreams) myself… I’d rather pay a little extra to book direct.
