Starwood Preferred Guest Double Take for Double Starpoints on first three stays January 16-April 15, 2017 is a similar promotion to Marriott MegaBonus 2017. Good reason to call this offer Double Take.

SPG Double Take promotion requires registration by March 15, 2017.

Double Points means 4 points per dollar. Only stays at Starwood Hotels brands count.

You can also register for Marriott MegaBonus to earn double points at Marriott Rewards hotel brands during this same promotion period Jan 16-April 15.

SPG Double Take has an additional component for 5,000 bonus points after the third stay for staying ten nights during the promotion period. Then, after three stays with double points and 10 nights for 5,000 bonus points, members can earn 500 bonus Starpoints for each additional night from 11 to 20 nights.

After the third stay, registered members may be eligible to earn five thousand (5,000) bonus Starpoints after ten (10) nights, plus an additional five hundred (500) bonus Starpoints per additional night up to five thousand (5,000) Starpoints for a total of ten thousand (10,000) bonus Starpoints or twenty (20) nights.

3 stays (2x points) + 20 nights (10,000 bonus points) is the kind of incentive that drove me away from seeking SPG Platinum elite several years ago.

My first SPG promotion in 1999 offered 7,000 bonus points for 3 stays. There were a lot of Starwood Hotels where 7,000 points bought a free night in an upper upscale property back then.

Marriott Rewards has a similar double points on first three stays for Marriott brand hotels with MegaBonus 2017. Members can earn bonus points in each hotel loyalty program promotion in the respective 30 hotel brands for Starwood Hotels and Marriott.
