SPG Hot Escapes are good value for my Asia escape

SPG Hot Escapes are out with a very limited selection of 64 hotels on this week’s October 28 list. Two hotels catch my eye this week as good value for my Asia escape on a $389 Delta Airlines ticket SJC-KUL I bought last April.

St. Regis Singapore is $239 on weekend nights – Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November.

Another one of the Asia hotels on this week’s SPG Hot Escapes is the W Retreat and Spa Maldives at nearly 40% off for every date in November.

I have a ticket to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for early November and I have 7 hotel nights to fill. A beach vacation sounds like a relaxing time. 

Oh, and those two hotels I mentioned caught me eye on this week’s SPG Hot Escapes list?

They are not the luxury hotels of St. Regis Singapore and W Maldives.

I’d buy a new car if I had $7,000 to blow for a one-week vacation escape.

Four Points Penang $43 per night.

And I have a targeted offer from SPG for 1,500 bonus points on my first stay, 2,500 bonus points on my second stay and 3,500 bonus points on my third stay by December 31, 2015. Starwood Hotels look promising for a Malaysia beach trip with the benefit of bonus points.

    The Malaysia Hotel market is great and lots of good deals there. Across the Sheraton KUL is a nice new mall with good and affordable eating options. There is also a Le Meridien in KUL with a great lounge and affordable rates. Some of the MH flights are operated by firefly which will result in no points and often no luggage allowance. Anyway have fun.
