Hilton Honors sent me a last chance email reminder yesterday for 100% bonus points on points purchases by December 18, 2018.
I am definitely a buyer of Hilton Honors points at $5.00 per 1,000 points. I have a few hotels in mind for summer 2018 travel in Romania and Poland where 10,000 points buys a free night.
So I clicked on the ‘buy points’ for a last chance check of this offer hoping to find something different than I have seen in previous checks for my account during this offer.
And I was disappointed again.
I would like 60,000 Hilton Honors points in my account. This means spending $340 to buy 61,200 points with my 80% bonus points offer compared to spending $300 for 60,000 points if I had actually been offered 100% bonus points.
On principle I will pass on this offer and wait for Hilton Honors to give me a real offer for 100% bonus points in 2019. I don’t anticipate a need for Hilton points until summer 2019.
