Today I came across a $10 rate difference for Holiday Inn London Commercial Road with a higher AAA rate than the IHG Rewards Club member only flexible rate. My first thought was book the member only rate and save $10.00 per night.

A quick comparison indicates the $114.56 rate is the best deal. But, a closer look at the AAA rate shows it includes free breakfast, while other rates charge extra for breakfast.

I thought this might be a London IHG hotel competitive advantage for AAA rates, however, I do not see breakfast included as part of the AAA rate for any other London IHG hotels I checked.
I have encountered this AAA rate free breakfast benefit several times over the years when the AAA rate was 10% lower than Best Flexible Rate and included a breakfast benefit not normally offered on the regular low rate.
