Since yesterday I have posted winter airfare deals to Europe from Seattle and Portland and here are some deals from Denver with Icelandair for Denver to Manchester as low as $469 round trip for trips from November through March. And you can even plan a stopover in Iceland for a few dollars more in taxes.
Other cities from Denver to Europe on sale with Icelandair:
Paris $597 – $640
These are the kinds of deals Icelandair brings to western state residents around Denver, Seattle and Portland. There have been a lot of fare deals this past week that appear to be initiated by Icelandair low fares. The deal with Icelandair is they mostly only operate one plane per day from most of their USA airports on a nonstop to Iceland and connecting flight to Europe. The good deal for flyers is Icelandair frequently has the lowest airfare to Europe, but limited availability. Yet, when Icelandair offers a good sale, the major alliance airlines of American, Delta and United tend to follow suit. Although the major airlines tend to be $50 to $100 higher than Icelandair’s lowest fare, the positive side for flyers is there are usually significantly more low fare dates and flights for flying with a major airline at a ticket price hundreds of dollars below their average price.
Thanks Icelandair!
Icelandair Denver – Reykjavik, Iceland KEF – Manchester MAN – KEF – DEN
$468.77 round trip Friday Nov 11 – Tue Nov 22
Note: Google Flights gave me several misquotes on these fares. There was a $408 Icelandair fare through Priceline, however, the site wanted my credit card without showing me the final itinerary before entering my information. Eventually I searched Icelandair.us directly to find low fares using their weekly calendar.
Icelandair Denver – Reykjavik, Iceland KEF – Manchester MAN – Reykjavik KEF 2 day stopover – DEN
$511.53 round trip Iceland stopover ticket Sat Feb 11 – Fri Feb 24
Icelandair booking code N earns 50% points Finnair Plus. Economy N is not a miles earning fare for Alaska Mileage Plan.
This ticket has 50 hours in Iceland. There are probably dates with lower fares, but I simply looked for a stopover ticket that priced somewhere around $500 since a couple of other dates I tried were $900 to $1,100. Basically I look for a low fare round trip, then play with dates to find the low fare stopover that works within the total trip dates.
I’ll cover the major alliance winter fare deals from Denver to Europe in my next post coming in the next hour.
