Last night a friend mentioned a desire to go to Dublin and said he saw a $750 ticket price from California. Too high a price in my opinion. Dublin is one of the gateway cities for low fares to Europe on the major airlines. Watch for Dublin over the course of a few months and the round trip ticket price drops to the $400s several times throughout the year.

Dublin, Stockholm/Oslo/Helsinki/Copenhagen and Madrid/Barcelona are three gateway areas to watch for low fares from California to Europe, sometimes down to $400s round trip. Low fares tend to be upper $400s from west coast USA and lower $400s from Chicago and east coast airports. Scandinavian airports are most frequently on sale with Dublin probably second most discounted airport for USA to Europe routes. Spain drops to $400s too, but tends to be less frequently than the other two regions.
Yesterday, there were Delta fares in upper $400s from Dallas DFW to airports across Spain, but I was too busy to write up the deal and saved it for this morning. Those same routes are priced in $800s today.
Checking fares today for Dublin shows there are some tickets available through online travel agencies for close to $500 round trip for San Francisco to Dublin winter travel and early summer 2017 travel.
American, Delta and United and alliance partner airlines all have San Francisco to Dublin priced in $640s to $680s round trip for departures from September all the way through June 15, 2017.

Air Canada has a new beta-website. When I searched this ticket there was a message about an Air Canada stopover program, however, details are sketchy until after you have booked your flight.
This fare calendar was a prominent feature when searching SFO-DUB and shows several dates with round trip fare in mid-$600s for travel in mid-June 2017.
Momondo.com, the Copenhagen-based meta-search engine often returns online travel agency discount tickets with Star Alliance carriers to Europe.
