Icelandair has some very low fares out of New York JFK to Stockholm, Sweden. I priced a round trip ticket for November at $345.75 all-in. The advantage of Icelandair over low budget airlines like Norwegian and WOW is no service fees for two checked bags and an assigned airline seat at time of booking. These services add about $150 to $200 to Norwegian and WOW Airline ticket prices.
Even better is the option to add a nearly free stopover in Iceland to your itinerary. That $346 round trip ticket priced at $358 round trip when I put in a 3 night stopover in Reykjavik.
Stockholm is probably the lowest ticket price, but certainly not the only low priced destination for Icelandair flights to Europe. I do not see fares this low from other Icelandair USA airports in Boston, Washington IAD or Chicago.

Icelandair’s website allows you to select stopover and build an Iceland stopover into your round trip itinerary. In my searches the stopover usually increases the ticket price about $15.
