Two weeks ago in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport I visited the British Airways lounge before boarding a morning BA flight to London Heathrow. There is extensive construction happening around the lounge access corridors in Amsterdam Schiphol. Once you find your way to the BA lounge, the interior is quite the respite from the airport terminal remodeling spaces passed through to reach the lounge.

There is a wall of windows running the length of the lounge with nice views of aircraft if TV or reading or work has not got your attention.

One of my main interests was getting some free food and coffee at 9am in the morning. The food selection was minimal, mostly packaged foods, some wrapped muffins and fruits, juices and yogurts.
There was plenty of booze though.
There were not too many people in the place at the time of day and there was plenty of room to spread out on cushioned chairs.
A couple of TVs were showing the Australian Open tennis tournament and others were on CNN.
I had the corner of the room to myself for the entire hour. Most people were seated at the computer table or dining tables.

The British Airways lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol was convenient and relaxing for a quick breakfast snack and coffee after my train trip from Leiden Netherlands, before flying to London Heathrow. I continued my AAdvantage Executive Platinum flight experience at the American Airlines Flagship Lounge for lunch before the AA 777 LHR-LAX SWU-upgraded flight on the outbound legs of my American Airlines $422 Amsterdam AMS-LAS Las Vegas ticket.
