A useful strategy for someone who wants to travel multiple times to Europe in a few months is to book a one-way flight on Norwegian and then book round trip tickets originating in Europe for as much as half off the price to fly the same route originating in the USA.
In many cases the price to fly Norwegian LGW-LAX will be less than half the price of a discount round trip fare on a legacy carrier from London to Los Angeles. This strategy is primarily for someone who wants to earn frequent flyer miles and elite status in a major program.

Scandinavia has insanely low fares to California. I have two tickets booked next month flying British Airways Bergen, Norway to San Francisco for under $400 round trip each.
