SkyTeam Alliance member Vietnam Airlines has a low fare from Los ANgeles or San Francisco to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City at $657 round trip. This is a two segment itinerary with a China Airlines codeshare flight between California and Taipei connecting to Vietnam Airlines.
October and November have most of the $657 fares with fares at $673 and $681 for many more dates from August to early December and fares from $713 to $743 for many dates from January to April 2016.
While I have seen Los Angeles to Ho Chi Minh City SGN as low as $550 back in early April, this is the lowest fare this year I have seen to Hanoi.
Unfortunately, Vietnam Airlines economy T class is not a miles earning fare for Delta Skymiles members. I don’t know if Vietnam Economy T class earns miles in Vietnam Airlines Lotus Miles. The Vietnam Airlines website gives me an error page not found when I click on the link for earn miles eligible booking classes.
Still, a low airfare for travel to Vietnam.
