I made a Costco Travel Center car rental last week with Avis driving one-way from MCO Orlando, Florida to Knoxville TYS Airport, Tennessee for a total of $55 for a five day rental in June.
For $84 all-in, an extra $29 over the Costco rental rate, I can earn 2,500 miles and drive a Mustang convertible five days. The convertible does not entice me, but 2,500 AAdvantage miles for $29 looks like good value.
