Looks like the SPG team aren’t ready to launch a new promotion before the end of the year. The “Get Closer to Paradise” promotion has been extended past the initial November 30 end date to December 18 for earning 1,000 bonus points (500 points at a few properties) at participating Starwood Hotels.
Registration (SPG Get Closer to Paradise registration link) is required by November 30. The terms & conditions do not state registration is required before your eligible stays which usually indicates a hotel stay during the promotion period will earn the bonus retroactively as long as registration occurs by November 30.
North America and Latin America promotion period for earning bonus points is August 4-December 18.
Europe, Africa, and Middle East promotion period is September 1-December 18.
There are a few hotels where the November 30 promotion end date has not changed to December 18.
