A Tyskie at Hyatt Place Krakow, Poland

On a cloudy Sunday,  early December 2022 in Krakow, Poland I walked from Hotel Indigo Krakow Old Town to Hyatt Place Krakow to check out the category 1 hotel about 40 minutes away. I have probably spent more than 50 nights in Krakow, but I had never before wandered through the part of the city where Hyatt Place Krakow and AC by Marriott Krakow are located.

My route led me through Henryk Jordan Park, a large green space dotted with monuments to famous Poles.

Henryk Jordan Park was developed in 1889 based on the ideas Dr. Henryk Jordan, physician and physical education pioneer. The playground park included exercise equipment, soccer fields, running track and a swimming pool. Henryk Jordan Park was the first public park of its kind in Europe.

Hneryk Jordan Park is separated from Hyatt Place Krakow by a football stadium, Stadion Miejski im. Henryka Reymana / Henryk Reyman‘s Municipal Stadium, also known as Wisla Stadium, home field of WisÅ‚a Kraków football team.

I found myself on the back side of the hotel from the street entrance.

I went inside Hyatt Place to check out the lobby and drink a Tyskie on a Sunday afternoon.

I was not in the mood for the whole I am a blogger and want to check out your rooms. I drank my 15 PLN/$3.40 beer and chilled listening to The National’s Trouble Will Find Me and snapped a few photos of the industrial ceiling layout.

I went to the toilet at Hyatt Place, then headed over to check out AC Marriott Krakow about 200 meters away.

My impression is AC Hotel Krakow looks like a great variety of room types from basic to super large balcony decks. But, a category 1 Hyatt Place is a real deal if you only want to burn few Hyatt points (3,500 to 6,500 points/night), be in Krakow ready to walk, take a tram or book cheap rideshares to Old Town. Uber is really inexpensive in Krakow.

Nice place. Breakfast is quite good but only included for Globalists or Guest Of Honor guests. Rooms are a bit compact by Hyatt Place USA standards but comfortable and well designed. Staff are uniformly pleasant. It’s a bit of a hike to get to town but the number 6 or 20 trams stop nearby and the number 6 continues on to the castle and Jewish Quarter. Overall, this is a quality hotel and a solid value on points.

Thanks for the comment on Hyatt Place Krakow. Good to know that breakfast is not complimentary for Discoverist members.
