IHG $28 nights in Crete, Greece this winter

One of the intriguing hotel deals I found when researching a trip itinerary for winter travel in Europe is Cressa Suites, a Mr. and Mrs. Smith brand hotel in Rethymno, Crete available for 5,625 points per night with a 4th night free rate through Chase IHG credit card. The rate is 7,500 points per night otherwise.

This works out to a cash equivalent of $28.13 per night given the multiple opportunities to buy IHG points for $5 per 1,000 points or $37.50 per night without the 4th night free rate. 

It would be pretty cool to stay 28 nights for 157,500 points, which is the amount of points my wife earned with her Chase IHG Premier MasterCard she applied for in August and received earlier this month after $3,000 in spend.

    I just finished a stay here. I found it cheaper through its own website than IHG. Great location in the old town of Rethymno. Hotel is comfortable, friendly and functional but not fancy.
