IHG Vignette Collection launched in 2021 as an independent hotel conversion brand for upper upscale and luxury hotels. There are currently seven hotels signed on with three of these hotels open and currently available for booking with IHG points. Another three hotels open in 2023 and are accepting bookings with points for available dates in 2023.
Bangkok, Thailand – Vignette Collection Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok – Rates in February are currently as low as $100 per night ($118 USD after tax).
Points rates were 20,250 points per night for the stay dates above, dropping to 15,500 points/night or 62,000 points for a 4 night stay for members with IHG Mastercard 4th night free benefit.Â
Brisbane, Australia – Vignette Collection Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley
Points rate for this stay is 32,750 points per night standard rate or 24,000 points per night with IHG Mastercard 4th Night Free. Points purchased at $5 per 1,000 points saves about $80 USD per night on paid rate.

Room rates start around 300 EUR per night. This historic hotel celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2020.

Two other Vignette Collection hotels are set to open in 2023 in Portugal’s Algarve region.

Algarve, Portugal – Penina Hotel and Golf Resort, Penina Portomao, Algarve, Portugal – IHG Vignette Collection taking reservations for stays from May 1, 2023. rates I checked in June showed 27,000 points per night.
Pattaya, Thailand – The Aquatique Pattaya, Thailand
Aquatique, Pattaya does not come up yet in IHG hotel searches. Interestingly, I found this Oct. 30, 2020 Marriott news article announcing Aquatique Pattaya as an Autograph Collection Hotel opening in 2024. Hopefully there will be more differentiation in hotel names when these two properties open.
Aquatique Pattaya, Autograph Collection hotel
Targeted to open by 2024, Aquatique Pattaya, Autograph Collection hotel will weave together the local charm of a Thai fishing village, a steamboat wharf and the underwater world in the highly popular resort town at Aquatique The Beachfront Pattaya. Upon opening, the 306-room hotel will be set alongside the Pattaya Marriott Marquis Hotel and JW Marriott The Pattaya Beach Resort & Spa, both still under development.“We are delighted to announce another remarkable expansion of our robust collaboration with Marriott International. The new multi-property agreement will break ground through entirely new concepts, introducing uniquely crafted hospitality experiences and strengthening both parties’ role in elevating the Thai tourism ecosystem,†added Wallapa Traisorat, CEO and President, Asset World Corporation.
Another article below from The Pattay News website details the large Aquatique Development Project for 5 hotels with three Marriott brand hotels and two IHG hotels. Apparently there are two hotels planned for IHG with Aquatique Pattaya and a Kimpton Hotel.
Aquatique District Pattaya mega project is planned to be developed on Pattaya Beach
The project is proposed to have five big hotels inside which are JW Marriott, The Auto Graph Collection, Marriott Marquis (with a huge convention center), Kimptons Hotel, and Vignette Collection (which will be apart from the main building).
