Choice Privileges points can be used for stays at M Resort Las Vegas. Currently the rate is 16,000 points for weeknights Sun-Thu and 25,000 points for Fri-Sat weekend nights. The 3-day Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) took place over the weekend May 20-22. EDC is the largest electronic music festival in the USA . Room rates at M Resort exceeded $500 per night after tax during EDC weekend.

I booked Thursday at M Resort night for May 19 using 16,000 Choice Privileges points and 2 weekend nights at 25,000 points per night. These 3 room nights priced at almost exactly $1,500 after tax. I still had to pay $29.99 per night resort fee on the points stay.

M Resort is located off the I-15 about 10 miles from Mandalay Bay Resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel is isolated from other casino hotels. The location lends itself to a quieter hotel with few children during the weekend of my stay. M Resort is also the team headquarters hotel for the Las Vegas Raiders during game season.

M Resort Las Vegas is Raiders home games hotel.

Thirty years ago I was frequently at Marriott San Francisco Airport for education conferences and saw many 49ers players like Jerry Rice and Steve Young when the team stayed there before games at Candlestick Park.

Large cabinet in room offers more closet space, drawers, safe and an empty mini-refrigerator. This is a bonus feature for M Resort since many Vegas casino hotel rooms do not offer refrigerators in the room.

The casino space seemed small to me compared to the large casino resorts on the Strip. I do not gamble, so nothing to add about that topic.

There were several places to eat in the hotel casino. I did not visit any of the restaurants besides M cafe for breakfast. Breakfast meals at M Cafe were $12 to $14 for an omelet, eggs benedict or french toast and $4 for coffee with refills.

32 Degrees Draft bar in the casino section of M Resort looked like a great place for beer with 22 oz large beers ($8-$9) and 64 oz pitchers ($28) for European beer like Pilsner Urquell and dozens of other beers. In the evening I was too tired to drink and I was not at the hotel during the day to try out their beers.

For wine drinkers there is The Hostile Grape.

There were loads of concert posters displayed around the property for upcoming and past shows. Some concerts take place in the pool area.

Choice Privileges points for stays at M Resort Las Vegas

25,000 Choice Privileges points saved $500.69 on this room night for a redemption value of $20.02 per 1,000 points. Choice Privileges periodically sells points for under $8 per 1,000 points.

This stay is another example of why I find Choice Privileges points to be one of the most valuable hotel loyalty currencies for finding great value with points.

    Thanks for Sharing the Information!
The buffet even includes free soft drinks, beer, and wine for lunch and dinner. It easily compares to some of the best buffets in Las Vegas, like the buffet at the Bellagio, but the prices are even better.
The M is “on the Strip”….however, it is perhaps 6 or 7 miles South of McCarran airport. The “center strip” area, Bellagio, Cesar’s Palace, etc. is perhaps 2-3 Miles North of McCarran airport.
The M Resort offers 351 exceptional guest rooms and 39 suites varying in size from 1,440 to 2,400 square feet. Each room offers a living space that includes high-technology amenities.
