Choice Privileges Members Only Madness promotions this week culminate in a good value ‘mattress run’ worthy offer to earn 10,000 points for one stay booked by Friday, November 22 and completed by December 31, 2019.
Promotion registration is required for the 10,000 bonus points.
The deal here is the opportunity to earn 10,000 Choice Privileges for a one night stay in combination with some of the lowest rates of the year typically available in late November and December.
Be aware!!! By Choice Privileges rules, a room rate of at least $40 before tax is required to earn Choice Privileges points. The good news is the 10,000 bonus points offer does not require a nonrefundable rate. Or you can combine the 10,000 bonus points offer with Tuesday’s offer for 15% off room nonrefundable rates.
You need to submit your email address to receive a link for the 15% off discount rate and then use the booking link provided in the email response to get the 15% discount rate. I found this nonrefundable, non-cancellable rate discount to be the lowest rate for hotels I am considering in Monterey.
For me, this offer makes it possible for me to book a $42 room rate in Monterey for a mid-week stay using the 15% off discount rate for a total $47.65 price for one night.
In addition, a mid-week stay comes with Choice Privileges “Your Extras” choice of additional benefit.
Value of Choice Privileges points
I find Choice Privileges points to be the best return of investment on purchased points for my travels. I have redeemed 96,000 Choice Privileges points in the past two months for 8 nights in weekend hotel stays in Carmel-by-the-Sea 5 miles from my home when peak season room rates priced out over $300 per night at Comfort Inn Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Last May, I purchased 267,000 Choice Privileges points for about $5.10 per 1,000 points. I stayed 10 nights in Czech Republic this year for 8,000 and 10,000 points per night. Last Christmas we stayed in Windsor, UKÂ at the historic Clarion Collection Harte & Garter Hotel with a Castle View Executive Room for 4 nights paying 8,000 points per night when the room rate was over $200 per night.
My next Europe stay at a Choice Hotel is a 10,000 points reward night at a Clarion with a $164 room rate. I will get those 10,000 points back by paying a $47 room rate from this current promotion for a local hotel two miles from my home, where I will check-in, take a look at the room and unlikely stay more than 10 minutes before I return home for my own bed that night.
This promotion is that valuable for me.
