Last month Marriott International acquired Elegant Hotels Group, which owns and operates seven hotels on Barbados. Several of the resort hotels are all-inclusive resort properties located on the powdery white sand beaches of Barbados west coast, known as the ‘Platinum Coast’. Marriott reports it will operate all seven properties as all-inclusive resorts following upgrades.

The Landings Resort & Spa on St. Lucia does not appear to be part of this Marriott deal. From what I gather in a quick search is Elegant Hotels is not the owner and only had a marketing agreement with the St. Lucia property.

I like that all of the hotels in Barbados are on the calm side of the island rather than the cliffs. A timeline for the hotels to be folded in would be nice.
