One of my more memorable hotel stays was a night in a suite at Hotel Kämp Helsinki in March 2013 when the property was affiliated with Starwood Hotels Luxury Collection brand. In 2016 the property changed to Small Luxury Hotels of the World SLH. In 2019, Nordic Choice Hotels became the new owner of ten Kämp Collection Hotels located in and around Helsinki, Finland.
These hotels are not yet available for booking through Nordic Choice Hotels, pending Swedish government approval. Given that all Nordic Choice Hotels are available for bookings using Choice Privileges points, I eagerly anticipate the addition of these ten Kämp Collection Hotels to the portfolio of Choice Hotels in the Nordic countries available for bookings through Choice Privileges.
This also means that two of three Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Helsinki, Finland currently members of Design Hotels and available for bookings using Marriott Bonvoy points as category 5 reward nights will probably soon be unavailable to Marriott members. Two other Kämp Collection Hotels are still SLH members hotels available for reward nights with Hyatt points and also will likely soon be unavailable as reward nights to World of Hyatt members using points.
