Auctions offer deep discounts for many major chain hotels. Yesterday I received a voucher for a 2-night weekend stay including breakfast for two at Marriott Zurich Switzerland for $55 per night. Greater Omaha-Lincoln Marriott Business Council hotel stay auctions have raised more than $450,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals over the years. Probably about $1,000 of that amount were my winning auction bids over the past several years used for hotel stays on trips to Monaco, Atlanta and Boston.

Greater Omaha-Lincoln Marriott Business Council is an annual fundraiser. The good news is there are many other organizations using hundreds of hotel stay auctions every month throughout the year as a fundraiser item.
