Le Club Accorhotels is a loyalty program I have rarely used, although my plan is to make their current promotion offer for 6,000 points after three stays (promotion registration link) the cornerstone of my hotel stays for an upcoming trip to Amsterdam and Krakow. Le Club Accorhotels promotion offers 6,000 bonus points after three 2 night stays. Le Club Accorhotels points have a fixed value with 2,000 points = 40 EUR/$44 USD. That makes 6,000 points after 3 stays/6 nights equivalent to a $132 rebate value as payment credit on a future Accor Hotels stay.
The catch here is all three stays must be booked by Friday, September 27 11:59pm Central European Time (5:59pm New York/ 2:59pm California) to count and stays must be completed from Sep 13, 2019 to Jan 19, 2020.
Le Club Accorhotels 6,000 Bonus Points
- 500 Rewards points on your first stay (minimum 2 nights)
- 2,500 Rewards points on your second stay (minimum 2 nights)
- 3,000 Rewards points on your third stay (minimum 2 nights)
My plan is two Accor Hotels stays in Amsterdam and one stay in Krakow at $600 all in for six hotel nights with a 22% rebate on hotel spend with 6,000 points earned. I will be close and potentially pick up another 2,000 Accor points from hotel spend. In summer 2020, I will look for Accor Hotels deals to spend my 120 to 160 EUR in points value. Switzerland, Austria, Germany and France are in my summer plans. Accor Hotels are the most prevalent hotel chain across this region.
A lousy IHG Rewards Club Accelerate offer for my account was pivotal in changing my loyalty from IHG Rewards Club to Accor Hotels for my trip to Amsterdam and Krakow. There are good hotel rate deals with IHG, however, my Fall 2019 Accelerate promotion tasks offer a total 14,400 bonus points. I value 14,400 bonus points at about $75. The largest share of IHG Accelerate bonus points is 5,400 bonus points for two 2-night weekend stays including a Saturday. My travel itinerary only makes one weekend stay possible, so that task is out. 4,500 points for a Points & Cash stay offers no gain since I have to buy 5,000 points to earn that deal. 2,800 bonus points for stays at 4 IHG hotels is another problem since I would need to move hotels more than I want during my trip.
IHG Rewards Club still covers part of my hotel stays in Amsterdam and Krakow for this trip, but only as reward nights using points. My hotel spend is better spent with Le Club Accorhotels. Plus, I will have three hotels new to me for Loyalty Traveler hotel reviews instead of returning to hotels in Amsterdam and Krakow I have reviewed before.
