Crossing bridges summer walk through Stockholm

a city with a river and buildings

Walking around leafy green Stockholm when it is 24C/75F on a sunny summer Sunday in late afternoon is a memory worth storing and refreshing for those winter days when skies are gray, wind off the water chills and daylight is gone by 4pm. I enjoy taking an hours long walk the day before a long-haul flight back to the USA.

I walked out of Clarion Hotel Sign near Stockholm Central Station around 5pm headed toward Gamla Stan with a general plan to walk around Sodermalm.

Stockholm City Hall photographs much better in the morning when the sun illuminates the red brick color.

Stockholm is a city built across several islands. Crossing bridges is a key component for walking around the city from Norrmalm to Riddarholmen to Gamla Stan to Sodermalm and back.

Below is a slideshow of photos from my Sodermalm walk.
