Ramada Apollo Amsterdam Centre rebranded as Leonardo Amsterdam Rembrandtpark as of August 1, 2019. Wyndham Rewards entered Netherlands in 2012 when Ramada Apollo Amsterdam Centre opened in a corner of Rembrandtpark as the flagship property of Apollo Hotels. The 17-floor hotel with 446 rooms is known for its top floor restaurant and rooftop bar. Apollo Hotels was acquired by Fattal Hotel Group, Israel’s largest hotel chain with 37 hotels in Israel and 162 hotels in Europe. Leonardo Hotels are the primary brand in the chain.
Ramada Apollo Amsterdam Centre is the hotel I considered to be the best deal in Amsterdam for three years when the top-tier Executive Panoramic View King Room was available for 3,000 Wyndham Rewards points + $62. The cash portion went up to about $80 before Wyndham Rewards in 2018 devalued GoFast rates to be 60%, then 70% of the Best Available Rate for the room type and date. I redeemed tens of thousands of Wyndham Rewards points for Ramada Apollo when 3,000 points + $62 or $80 bought a hotel night in a top-category room typically posting $200+ per night room rates. I cleared out my Wyndham Rewards account for a 15,000 points per night extended stay in Amsterdam this last New Year’s Eve.
Turns out the old Best Western Amsterdam Leidseplein (my unflattering 2016 review) behind Marriott Amsterdam was also rebranded to a Leonardo Hotel in 2016 after my January 2016 stay.
Best news I see about the change of brand from Ramada to Leonardo are lower room rates currently at this hotel than they were when it was part of Wyndham.

Leonardo AdvantageClub is a hotel loyalty program offering 1 point per Euro in hotel spend, however, I am unable to find the cost for reward nights using points on their website.
