Prague Vltava River Cruise 8-minute video

In July I took a one hour cruise on Prague’s Vltava River. The regular price for a Vltava daytime river cruise is about 350 CZK/$15. With a group of 9 other people we managed a 20% discount on the tickets for a walk-up purchase on the next cruise at 2:20 in the afternoon.

We had 45 minutes to wait and went to Prague Beer Museum down the street for beer before the cruise. We cruised the section of the city upriver from Charles Bridge to Vysehrad. I think far more boats and people cruise the section of the Vltava River in Prague immediately downstream from Charles Bridge.

To my surprise the cost for a beer on the Prague Boats cruise was only 59 CZK/$2.54 for a pint of Staropramen. The beer was actually served in a glass, which surprised me considering the narrow metal steps to walk from the bar inside to the upper view deck.

Anyway, after the beer I focused on taking video from the boat. Hare are video clips from about 8 minutes of the hour long excursion.

This is the beauty of Prague on a not-too-hot July summer day. Next time I might just pack my own beer and head out on a paddle boat to be in control of my own destiny on the water.
