Good news for residents of Las Vegas is you can fly away from the hot days and nights of Vegas in August for London. Virgin Atlantic drops ticket prices to low $500s beginning August 1 for nonstop flights to London Heathrow. There are even lower prices at $510 round trip if you fly a one-stop with a SkyTeam Alliance airline in one direction.
There are plenty of low fares to Europe for early August departures from many U.S. cities. The past few years have generally offered discount fares to Europe for mid to late August departures. This year is different in that airlines have dropped fares from many US cities to Europe for travel in early August. The low fares have me wondering if the lower rate of exchange for European currencies against the US dollar has ticket sales down for travel to the USA.
