Star Alliance $398 LAX to Moscow DME Jan-May

Several Star Alliance airlines have Los Angeles to Moscow priced at $398 round trip for travel from January to May 2019. An interesting feature of this low fare is the potential for long overnight layovers in a variety of cities including Toronto, Zurich and Munich.

SkyTeam has fares slightly higher in low $400s round trip for LAX to Moscow SVO for travel departures mid-January to early March.

Lufthansa Airlines ticket for Swiss Airlines flights

$398.13 round trip  Wed April 3 – Wed April 10

United Airlines ticket flying Lufthansa outbound with 18 hr overnight transit stop in Munich, Germany and Swiss Airlines inbound with 22 hr overnight transit stop in Zurich, Switzerland.

Los Angeles LAX – Munich MUC (overnight) – Moscow Domodedovo DME – Zurich ZRH (overnight) – LAX

$397.89 round trip  Sun March 24 – Tue April 2

SkyTeam Los Angeles LAX to Moscow SVO itineraries can be routed via Amsterdam with KLM or Paris with Air France.

  1. Thanks for the heads up. I narrowed this search to SAS and, while I didn’t find Russia for cheap, Stockholm is still in the mid-400s. You had tipped us off a couple years ago about Star Alliance Gold status by crediting our flights on SAS metal to Aegean Miles + Bonus, and it has been a great thing! I’m wondering if you know how the recent (and massive) SAS EuroBonus points-earning devaluation has/will impact crediting SAS flights to Aegean? Have you experienced anything yet or are miles still crediting 1:1 from SAS to Aegean? Thanks!
