IHG, InterContinental Hotels Group, has six bonus offers ending this week on Friday November 30:
- 25% off hotel rates worldwide for stays Nov 26-March 31, 2019,
- 15% off Points and Cash for stays through December 31, 2018,
- 10,000 bonus points for InterContinental Ambassador membership,
- 50% more points on IHG bonus points rates for stays through December 31, 2018,
- up to 15% off points price for IHG shopping portal merchandise,
- 100% bonus on purchased points dropping the rate as low as $5.00 per 1,000 points
In addition to these offers are new PointBreaks hotels for stays through February 28, 2019.
25% off hotel rates worldwide for stays Nov 26-March 31, 2019
I rebooked a hotel stay yesterday for a 2019 stay that was a good deal for me at $88 AAA. The nonrefundable rate before was $81 and dropped to $69 with IHG’s CyberWeek sale. I canceled my flexible AAA reservation and booked the CyberWeek nonrefundable rate at $69 per night.
15% off Points and Cash
15% Points & Cash discount rate can be a cheap way to pick up 20,000 points at an even lower rate than $5.00 per 1,000 points if you spend $260 for 52,000 IHG points during the 100% bonus points promotion.
The lowest Points & Cash rate I found is $4.89 per 1,000 points with the 15% discount when buying 20,000 points for $97.75 to book a one night stay at InterContinental Monterey. This offers a route to buy cheap points if you have 50,000 points in your account to make a Points & Cash booking at a 70,000 points hotel.
The deal with the other IHG promotion for 100% bonus points on points purchases is the cost is only $5.00 per 1,000 points when you spend $260 to buy 52,000 points.
Points & Cash discount rates at several other hotels I checked are priced at $6.50 to $7.50 per 1,000 points, even with 15% discount.
10,000 bonus points for InterContinental Ambassador membership,
InterContinental Ambassador annual membership is $200 or 40,000 points.

50% more points on bonus points rates for stays through December 31, 2018
IHG has flexible cancellation hotel rates with bonus points of 1,000 points, 2,000 points and 5,000 points per night or per stay.
This rate for 1,000 bonus points per night is $4.75 more per night or $5.31 per night after tax. 50% bonus points means this is a good deal to pay $5.31 for 1,500 bonus points for a purchase rate = $3.54 per 1,000 points for this reservation.
Whether this offer has value depends on the rate difference for the bonus points compared to the rate without bonus points for your stay.
