Choice Privileges has a buy points with a bonus points offer when you purchase by November 2, 2018. You need to log in to find out whether your specific targeted bonus is 20%, 30% or 40% bonus points.
I received an email about the offer on Oct 16 with a direct link and I received 30% bonus points. This drops the price of points from $11.00 per 1,000 to $8.46 per 1,000 points.
The fine print states these offers are pre-determined bonus amounts and not chance.
I assume if you can go directly to Choice Privileges buy points and you will find your offer when you are logged in to your account, even if you don’t see the email.
Is this a good deal?
Lately I booked several hotels in places I planned to visit where Choice Privileges reward rates were 6,000 or 8,000 points per night and a great deal for hotels in Atlanta, Long Beach and London.
- 40% Bonus Points = $7.86 per 1,000 points.
- 30% bonus points = $8.47 per 1,000 points.
- 20% bonus points = $9.17 per 1,000 points.
The Cove Long Beach, Ascend Collection is a hotel I booked for three nights at 8,000 points per night when the room rate was $164 after tax per night.
Buying points at the regular rate would have made this hotel an $88 per night room.
Price to Buy 8,000 points
40% bonus points offer= $63.
30% bonus points offer = $68.
20% bonus points offer = $74.
Regular buy points rate = $88.
Points Plus Cash Rewards buy points for $7.50 per 1,000 points.
Another way to buy points for even less at $7.50 per 1,000 points is booking a Points Plus Cash reward stay paying 6,000 points + $7.50 per 1,000 points for additional points.
If you have 6,000 points and book a hotel costing 20,000 points per night, then you redeem your 6,000 and buy 14,000 points for $105 at time of booking for the reward night.
The purchase of Choice Privileges points for a Points Plus Cash reward stay are nonrefundable. Cancel the stay and all the points return to your account.
If you have 6,000 Choice Privileges points, then you can buy additional points at $7.50 per 1,000 points and this bonus offer is not as valuable.
