The initial promotion for the newly combined Marriott-Starwood-RitzCarlton hotel chain is the not the kind of offer that will have folks excited to stay more and spend more with Marriott for the next four months.

Marriott Rewards Fall 2018 MegaBonus September 26 to January 31, 2019 has two different components.

  • Earn 1,000 bonus points for stays in different brands, beginning with the second brand. There are 29 brands for potential 28,000 bonus points.
  • Earn 2,000 bonus points for every stay of 2 or more nights. No earning limit.

That’s it folks.

There will also be a sweepstakes from October 4 to November 1 for a grand prize of 29 stays of 2-nights in each brand. The sweepstakes will have a points giveaway component with 1:2 odds of winning a prize.

    Hi – Just checking shouldn’t it be potential for 28 000 points as it starts from the second stay so discount the first one and you should have 28 brands balance .

    @Mahomed – you are correct. I had 29,000 and edited it before posting, but hit a 7 rather than 8.

    Although, you really have to be a global traveler to hit Delta, Edition, Gaylord, Marriott Executive Suites and Protea. Those brands are far flung.
