Hilton Honors autumn 2018 promotion is Moments Made Bigger from September 10 through January 3, 2019, offering double points on all stays *worldwide, and triple points at 200+ Conrad, Waldorf-Astoria and other listed resorts properties (*Hampton Inn China hotels are excluded).
- Double Points = 10 bonus points per $1, except Home2 Suites and Tru earn 5 bonus points/$1.
- Triple Points = 20 bonus points per $1 at participating hotels.
- All nights completed during the promotion period count, even if booked before promotion registration, as long as member registers before stay check-out.
- Incidental spend charged to room on reward nights counts for bonus points, except at Hampton, Tru, Homewood Suites, and Home2 Suites.
The elimination of Points & Points earning in April 2018, means these double points promotions are not quite as lucrative as past years when double points potentially meant 25 points per $1 in spend.
Buying Hilton Honors points during promotional sales in 2018 at $5 per 1,000 points has provided even better redemption value opportunities for me compared to the relatively much smaller number of points I earned through paid hotel stays.
Still, I found good value with Hilton Honors over the past two years with low published rate and low reward rate hotels in Bakersfield, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Those 5,000 and 10,000 points per reward night hotels have provided some desirable deals for my travel needs.
