Note: outbound SIN-MLE flight segment says it books into Business Class, but click-through to details shows Economy M class.

Standard Premium Economy P class upgrade to Business Class

Standard Premium Economy P class is eligible for Business Class upgrade for 57,000 KrisFlyer miles each way at the lower level Saver upgrade or 80,000 each way at the Advantage upgrade level.

  • Standard Premium Economy Saver Upgrade to Business Class SFO-SIN is 57,000 miles one way.
  • Standard Premium Economy Advantage Upgrade to Business Class SFO-SIN is 80,000 miles one way.
  • All miles Business Saver Award SFO-SIN Singapore is 88,000 miles one way.
  • All miles Business Advantage Award SFO-SIN is 120,000 miles each way.
  • All miles Business Saver Award SFO-MLE Male is 98,000 miles one way.
  • All miles Business Advantage Award SFO-MLE is 140,000 miles each way.

  • KrisFlyer round trip Advantage Award includes two free stopovers.
  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer award miles calculator.

Potentially, a $1,465 Premium Economy P class ticket upgraded to Saver Award Business Class on both SFO-SIN-SFO segments for 114,000 miles saves 62,000 miles compared to 176,000 miles to book SFO-SIN as a Saver Award Business Class ticket.

Premium Economy P class Standard Award Upgrade for 160,000 miles round trip saves 80,000 miles compared to all miles Business Class Standard Award SFO-SIN-SFO.

114,000 miles for Saver Business Class upgrade on long-haul flight segments and fly economy on the shorter flight segments between Singapore and Maldives is a compromise to spending 196,000 miles to book an all-miles Saver Business Class award ticket for all Business Class flight segments.

SFO-SIN Premium Economy P to Business Class Upgrade.

SIN-MLE Economy M to Business Class Upgrade.

The cost to upgrade the Singapore-Male flight segments from Economy M to Business Class at 66,000 miles round trip (180,000 miles total itinerary upgrade cost) negates the savings compared to simply booking an all miles Business Class saver award ticket SFO-MLE for 196,000 miles. The deal here is the balance between paying $1,500 for Premium Economy to upgrade the long-haul SFO-SIN-SFO flight segments and flying economy for the 4.5 hour flights to the Maldives.

This Premium Economy ticket purchase option is beneficial for flyers who have access to 114,000 KrisFlyer miles, but do not have sufficient miles to book an all miles Singapore Krisflyer Business Class Saver award ticket.

Stopovers:

A round trip Saver Upgrade includes option of one stopover for 10,000 KrisFlyer miles.

A round trip Standard Upgrade includes option for two stopovers at 10,000 KrisFlyer miles each.

There is a ticket itinerary option to route through both Hong Kong and Singapore with options to stopover in one city on a Business Saver award or both cities with a Standard Upgrade award.

Lots of potential possibilities with this Singapore Airlines sale.
