Radisson Rewards Dream Deals summer promotion changed their booking deadline to Sunday, July 8 to earn 5,000 bonus points per stay for advance purchase bookings on stays at more than 400 participating hotels through September 2, 2018.
This was news to me. The original deadline was July 1 when I originally wrote up the promotion in May.

I was unaware of the book by date change from July 1 to July 8 when I booked five advance purchase rate hotel nights with Hilton this week. Some of those stays might have gone to Radisson Rewards, if I had known the Dream Deals booking deadline was extended to July 8 and factored the added value of 5,000 bonus points for a stay to the cost of a Radisson Rewards hotel.
I looked at staying in Katowice, Poland overnight since I will be passing through the city. Turns out a new Park Inn Katowice opened there in March 2018. New hotels in the Americas earn 1,000 bonus points per stay when booking NOWOPEN rate. Unfortunately, the new hotel bonus points offer does not apply to hotels in Europe.
Katowice seemed like a place suitable for an overnight stay and a chance to pick up some cheap hotel bonus points since I will pass through the city anyway.

This is the kind of deal I would have probably jumped on just for the sake of earning 5,000 bonus points on a $40 hotel rate with Radisson Rewards. I need to build up my account balance after spending 108,000 points for 6 Radisson Rewards hotel nights in Lithuania last month.
My wife will probably appreciate a 2-night stay in Krakow with Hilton more than a brief stopover night in Katowice, Poland. I had also considered a stay at Holiday Inn Dabrowa Gornicza to complete my Accelerate offer with a $45 hotel night for 30,000 bonus points.
Radisson Rewards is losing paid stay opportunities from me with their change in promotion types since the March 2018 change from Club Carlson. Their two major promotions of 2018 so far have been two consecutive advance purchase promotions with booking deadlines long before the earn bonus points promotional stay period ends.
March 12 – June 30, 2018 Earn 5,000 to 120,000 bonus points with 2 to 20 nights. Must book by April 15. I think they also extended this booking deadline to April 30.

I tend to only finalize my hotel plans in the four weeks prior to my trip.
Radisson Rewards needs to offer something special again like the great bonus points and free night promotions offered in 2017 to get me back into their fold. Most of my annual hotel spend in 2017 went to Radisson Rewards.
This year all my Radisson Rewards hotel stays have been on points and nearly drained out my account.
