Wow Air SFO/LAX to Delhi, India $398 round trip

WOW Airlines launches Iceland to India flights in December 2018. USA airports to New Delhi, India have $400 round trip tickets for winter 2019 travel in celebration of this new airline route.

While WOW Airlines sells one-way tickets, the round trip price at $398 is the only deal here. One way tickets are priced $310 one way from California to New Delhi.

Cheap window or aisle seats in 2-seat sections in the back of the plane can be self selected for all four flights at $9 per segment.

  • $35.96 self-selected seat assignments.
  • $433.96 round trip ticket with seats.

Add $100 for one carry-on bag round trip or $140 for one checked bag round trip.

I was unable to get low fares for New Delhi when I attempted to add an Iceland stopover. Each flight price came up as one way segment pricing at close to $900 for three segments.

Other airlines like Swiss, United and China Eastern are currently priced around $700 round trip for  SFO-DEL on January 2019 dates.

I have seen China Eastern ticket prices for California to Delhi drop to $400s in past sales, so this WOW Airlines discount fare is not unprecedented for California to India flights.

China Eastern LAX to Delhi, India Expedia $442 round trip (Sep 27, 2017).

China Eastern LAX-New Delhi, India $488, United SFO-DEL $703 (May 30, 2016).

WOW ticket prices LAX-DEL $398rt Jan-Mar 2019.

WOW Air $70 SFO-KEF flight review, YMMV. (April 4, 2017) was my most recent WOW Airlines flight for $70 all-in with no prepaid seat assignments or bag fees. I spent ten days in northern Europe in early April 2017 carrying minimal stuff. India light seems a breeze.
