IHG Rewards Club Points&Cash 20% off Flash Sale through April 30 offers the potential to buy points for $4.60 per 1,000 when booking a Points&Cash reward stay for a reservation through May 31, 2018.
There are many hotels where Points&Cash makes it possible to buy 20,000 points for $100 or $5.00 per 1,000 points. I took advantage of one of these sales last year to buy points at the lowest rate I have seen.

Cheap IHG Points for Members who have points
Daily Getaways sales this year offered six different sets of IHG points from 8,500 points for $50 to 130,000 points for $750. None of these offers sold out and are still available today. A good reason not to pay $5.75 to $6.00 per 1,000 points in Daily Getaways is the opportunity to pick up points for that price almost anytime through Points&Cash reward reservations.
All you need are IHG starter points to buy cheap IHG Points&Cash points.
IHG standard reward rates range from 10,000 points to 70,000 points per night. When you book an IHG Points&Cash reward stay, you buy points at time of booking to meet the nightly reward rate price for each night of your stay.
If you cancel the Points&Cash stay, then all the points are returned to your account, including all purchased points for the reservation. This feature of Points&Cash makes it possible to buy discount IHG Rewards Club points year round.
And when Points & Cash rates are discounted 20%, then there is an opportunity to buy points at their lowest rate of the year – under $5.00 per 1,000 points.
Typical Points & Cash rates
Most hotels allow members to purchase 5,000 or 10,000 points for a Points&Cash stay. At higher standard reward rates, typically 25,000 points and higher, there is an option to buy 15,000 points per reward night. Some hotels at 35,000 to 50,000 and nearly all hotels from 55,000 to 70,000 points for a standard reward night offer a 20,000 points purchase option for Points&Cash reward nights.

Hotels have different Points&Cash rates for points purchases.
For a few years there were uniform Points & Cash rates around the world with 5,000 points typically priced at $35 and 10,000 points at $60. The past couple of years has seen more variability in Points&Cash rates. 5,000 points range from $30 to $50. 10,000 points from $60 to $85. 15,000 points from $90 to $110 and 20,000 points from $115 to $140.

May 6-9, 2018 IHG Points&Cash 3-night stay at InterContinental Warsaw is 45,000 points + $276 compared to paying 105,000 points for 3 standard reward nights.
The cost to buy 60,000 points = $276 with 3-night IHG Rewards Club Points&Cash stay at InterContinental Warsaw. This is $4.60 per 1,000 points and the lowest rate typically seen for the purchase of IHG Rewards Club points when there is a 20% discount rate limited time offer on the cash portion of Points&Cash reward nights.
Incidentally, this is the first Points&Cash discount offer I have been eligible for in about a year. There have been two previous 15% and 20% IHG Points & Cash targeted offers since last summer widely reported on blogs, but my account was not eligible for either of those promotions.
