IHG Rewards Club released its next 2018 Q2 Accelerate promotion for stays May 1 – July 31. You can register now and see your own individual tasks.
Lucky at One Mile at a Time and my offers are almost identical for 43,500 potential points, although my offer requires only 2 nights to earn 30,000 points or 40,000 points if I stay 5 nights. Lucky has an additional weekend stay task for 6,000 points and his achievement bonus is 6,000 fewer points.

Two additional tasks for bonus points are 2,000 points for a May 2018 stay and 1,500 points for a stay at an InterContinental, Hotel Indigo or Even brand.
I don’t need a May hotel stay at this time and 1,500 bonus points are not worth going out of my way to pay $50+ more for an InterContinental or Hotel Indigo stay compared to other IHG brands. I have never even seen an Even Hotel yet after five years since the brand launched. There are only 8 Even hotels currently open in USA and Eugene, Oregon is the only Even Hotel in the western U.S.
Basically, I will earn 30,000 bonus points with 2 stays at any IHG brand anywhere. I only need to book both stays through IHG app and pay for one of the stays with my IHG Rewards Club card.
That IHG Rewards Club card task caused me to miss out on 30,000 bonus points in the Fall 2017 Accelerate offer when I learned at check-in for Holiday Inn Express Stratford London on December 27 that the IHG Rewards Club card in my wallet was the card that had been canceled in Sep 2017 after fraudulent hacker activity. I mistakenly shredded my IHG replacement card and had not used my card from September to December until I was in Europe attempting to complete my remaining IHG task.
I will be certain to use my IHG Rewards Club card before leaving home this summer to make sure it works before I travel to Europe to complete my IHG Accelerate tasks on summer travel.
Cheap and Easy IHG Rewards Club Points with Accelerate
This promotion is another easy IHG Rewards Club bonus for me to earn 30,000 points after 2 nights that will buy at least 2 IHG PointBreaks nights in Europe. The next list of PointBreaks should be released in about two weeks. I hope it includes a hotel or two in one of the cities in one of the 7 or 8 countries in Europe I plan to travel through this summer.
