Accor Hotels will be Australia’s largest hotel chain

Accor Hotels is set to become the largest hotel chain in Australia if the $1.2 billion AUD takeover of Mantra Group is approved by shareholders next month. Mantra Group is the largest Australia-based hotel chain and manages over 135 hotels with 22,000 rooms in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.

Mantra Hotels operates four brands:

Accor Hotels already manages 212 hotels in Australia and 35 in New Zealand.
