Xiamen Airlines is the new member of the low fare California to Asia club we have seen the past couple years with China Southern and China Eastern Airlines. All three of these airlines are SkyTeam Alliance members.
Xiamen has low fares in the mid to upper $400s for many cities across Asia from Seoul, South Korea to Singapore, Philippines to Thailand and Vietnam, and many cities across China.
Most of these routes show lots of dates for availability between March and May 2018.
Some destinations and prices I see today:
$433 LAX – Fuzhou (March-May)
$448 LAX – Ürümqi (URC) (March-May)
$466 LAX – Taipei, Taiwan (March-May)
$468 LAX – Sanya, China (March-May)
$482 LAX – Hong Kong (March-May)
$483 LAX – Seoul, Korea ICN (March-May)
$487 LAX – Singapore (March-May)
$492 LAX – Manila, Philippines (March-May)
$507 LAX – Phuket, Thailand (April, May)
$504 LAX – Ho Chi Minh City (March-May)
There are more than a dozen cities in mainland China priced in mid-$400s from $433 LAX to Fuzhou or even $448 round trip for 8 flight segments LAX to Ürümqi (URC) near the border of Kazakhstan and cited as the farthest city away from the sea in the world, also called the continental pole of inaccessibility. For reference, South Dakota has the pole of inaccessibility in USA.
There are some good deals if Asia is in your travel plans.
