Norwegian Airlines offers one of the lowest ticket prices for California to Europe via their nonstop OAK-London Gatwick LGW route. One way ticket prices from Oakland to LGW are currently priced from $160 to $210 for travel in April and May and London LGW to Oakland are $230 one way.

The deal here is Norwegian Airlines has several nonstop routes from London Gatwick to cities across Europe including Split, Croatia SPU and Dubrovnik DBV, Croatia. I have watched ticket prices to Croatia for a couple years and the country is a rare destination for a discount ticket from California.

Split SPU to London LGW is even lower at $31 to $52 one way.
