World of Hyatt has a points purchase offer for 30% more points when you buy 5,000 or more points from Jan 23 through Feb 23, 2018. Bonus points reduce the purchase price from $24 per 1,000 points to $18.47 per 1,000 points.
Members may buy 55,000 points in a calendar year. Bonus points do not apply to the annual purchase limit.
There are not too many properties where buying points will offer savings on a standard reward. Points purchases are more likely to be a way to save on room rates through Points + Cash rewards at some hotels.
