An interesting feature of Choice Privileges is some hotels offer higher category rooms, even suites at some hotels, for standard reward rates. This is similar to reward night opportunities in Best Western Rewards and Wyndham Rewards.

The primary disadvantage of Choice Privileges is a 60-day advance booking for reward nights at international hotels outside your region of residence and 30-day window for hotels in your region, unless you hold elite status. This means US residents can book hotels in Europe within 60 days, but European residents can only book Choice Privileges reward stays within 30 days.
