Many of the opportunities I find for hotel points are discovered when I am planning specific trips to specific places. I have my eye out for hotel stays in Atlanta, Miami/Florida, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, Prague, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Australia.
All in the next 12 months.
Wyndham Rewards points offer some good value redemption opportunities in places like Amsterdam, London, Prague, Germany, Romania and Australia.
There are no Wyndham brand hotels in Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania or Poland. Some Choice Hotels and more Club Carlson hotels are in these countries without any Wyndham hotels.
Visa Checkout for 21,000 Wyndham Rewards Points
Wyndham Rewards currently has a Visa Checkout promotion for 15,000 bonus Wyndham Rewards points with three Wyndham brand hotel stays anywhere worldwide when you book by Jan 31, 2018 and complete your stay by February 28, 2018.
Visa Checkout is a bank card registration service to preregister a credit card for use as payment with participating merchants. Visa Checkout is a payment option when you book a Wyndham Worldwide hotel.

- Stay 1 = 3,000 bonus points.
- Stay 2 = 5,000 bonus points.
- Stay 3 = 7,000 bonus points.
- Minimum earn rate Wyndham Rewards brand hotel stay = 1,000 points. 3 stays earns 3,000 points.

You can boost this earning to 21,000 total Wyndham Rewards points by finding a hotel with a 1,000 bonus points for 1-night weekday stay bonus rate. Some hotels offer 2,000 bonus points for 2-night weekday stay. Some hotels offer 500 bonus points for 1-night weekend stay.
Many of the hotel loyalty promotions I complete each year are far cheaper to earn with hotel stays in Europe and other international places. This Wyndham Rewards bonus points promotion for Visa Checkout stays provides an opportunity for me to mattress run hotel stays in Monterey I do not need and still earn Wyndham Rewards points I can redeem in Europe for double the value of buying 21,000 Wyndham Rewards points with cheap stays at a local Monterey hotel over the next three months.

Three hotel stays is a task I thought I could easily accomplish on my upcoming international trips. I will be in several cities with Wyndham brand hotels over the next three months, however, there were better hotel rates in other chains or better reward rate deals for nearly every date of my trips.
I have only one Wyndham brand hotel stay booked for $93 all-in in the next three months. That stay is a 1,000 bonus points rate and will earn 5,000 total points.
Spending $106 for two more stays at Super 8 Monterey to max out the Visa Checkout promotion offer could earn 7,000 points on the second stay and 9,000 points on the third stay.
$106 to buy 16,000 Wyndham Rewards is a great deal for places like Australia, Germany and Romania, places where I will be traveling in 2018.
My next post is a look at some of the reward redemption opportunities available with 21,000 Wyndham Rewards points. Many bloggers will point out any Wyndham brand hotel worldwide can be booked for 15,000 points. That is one possibility, but I prefer to conserve my points for GoFast reward nights at 3,000 points + copay.
I know several hotels where 3,000 points will save $100 per night on a GoFast Reward even after paying $25 to $75 nightly copay amounts for most hotels I am considering for my lodging.

Wyndham Rewards: Visa Checkout is not available for payment when a booking is made through WyndhamRewards.com. Capitalized terms used without definition in these terms and conditions (“Promotion Terms”) will have the meanings ascribed to them in the Wyndham Rewards program terms and conditions (the “Program Terms”).
