Clarion Prague City was my hotel base for 3 nights in October 2017 at 8,000 Choice Privileges points per night and 4 nights in July 2018 for 10,000 points per night.
I have stayed in hotels located in Mala Strana, Nove Mesto and Vinohrady areas of Prague. Mala Strana near Prague Castle and Stare Mesto – Old Town Prague are the most popular areas of Prague for tourists with many of the big name hotels, but I find these areas of Prague too crowded for my style. I’d rather stay in a quieter area and walk to the tourist spots.
Vinohrady is the district in Prague I love to hang out in due to its mix of residential streets, cool pubs and choice of restaurants and grocery stores.Â
Clarion Prague City also has the convenience of being a 5-minute walk from Namesti Miru metro station on the Prague A line.
Church at Namesti Miru square.
A 32 CZK ticket ($1.40 USD) for Prague Airport Bus 119 takes you to the Metro A line at Nadrazi Veleslavin station in a 15 minute ride. Metro takes about 25 minutes between Nadrazi Veleslavin and Namesti Miru.
The 32 CZK ticket is good for 90 minutes on Prague area transportation by bus, tram and metro, so simply walk on Metro train at Nadrazi Veleslavin and ride to Namesti Miru in 8 stops.Â

King Room
Room comes with refrigerator, hot water kettle, and flat screen TV. Windows do not open. There are double panes which keeps street noise muffled.
High ceiling rooms give an added spatial dimension.
Buffet Breakfast Included
Breakfast is included. Standard fare of eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, hot porridge, cold meats and cheeses, pastries and bread. Guests can request fresh cooked eggs and bacon or omelet, but I have seen very few guests take the kitchen up on the offer.
Clarion Prague City is a great deal with Choice Privileges points. All three reward stays I booked at this hotel in summer/fall 2017 ended up with the hotel having no available rooms in the weeks leading up to my stay.
Rates are typically 85 to 110 EUR per night. Points stays are generally a better value for me than paying the posted rates.
There are three Clarion Hotels in Prague.
Mid-December has very low published rates and makes reward rates not so great a deal. Last summer the room rate was 120EUR for the room I booked at Clarion Prague City for 10,000 points.
Weekend reward rates in Prague are higher for Prague City and Prague Old Town hotels. Clarion Prague Old Town is usually 10,000 to 16,000 per night. Clarion Congress Hotel Prague is often the cheapest rate and points for reward nights. Clarion Congress is a location a couple miles away from any place I have walked around Prague. And I have walked well over 50 miles across Prague in 2017.
