SkyTeam Alliance members China Southern and China Eastern have very low fares to China for travel over the next few months. San Francisco SFO to Beijing PEK or SFO to Shanghai PVG are $385 to $399 round trip. Looks like at least a dozen other cities in China are priced from $449 to $529.
Google Flights is useful for searching low fare dates on these China routes, however, their deep links are not active. I have been having loads of issues with Google Flights over the past month. The absence of deep links for many routes has sent me to SkyScanner.com for better search results.
SkyScanner is kind of like Momondo.com for pulling up little known OTA sites, but offers more calendar functionality. In this post I use Orbitz fares, which were not the lowest fares I found.
