Oneworld Alliance put Germany on sale with discount tickets from LAX and San Francisco Bay Area Airports to Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt and Hamburg for travel August 2017 to March 2018.

This is a fluid situation with a ticket I priced for SJC-HAM at $496.72 while writing this post that is now over $1,300.

    I feel as though IAG has been using teaser pricing on the West Coast quite a bit recently, especially with the introduction of Level. It seems like they’ll put a few seats out at a really low price, then the seats immediately sell out, then a while later dribble a few more seats out and repeat. My colleague snagged a $199 BCN fare, that at one moment suddenly appeared, then the deal went away a few hours later. It really makes me wonder if this business model works – but I am enjoying the cheap fares!!!

    I purchased two $150 San Francisco to Barcelona tickets in March 2017 when they intially went on sale. The one way ticket allowed me to use one of my primary strategies to fly to Europe in peak season after most USA fares went hundreds of dollars higher.

    Our round trip flight in late June from Stockholm to San Jose SJC takes us back to Europe for Christmas for $557 round trip on British Airways.

    Even all the discount fares I have seen since do not apply to flights in late June or Christmas.

    I need a ticket back to California after Christmas trip. Still six months to find that deal.
